We moved down to Devon around 2008 and shortly after, there was a competition to devise a 'song for Devon'. This was intended to be an anthem for the county to be played at major events around the county. There were a number of categories but they thought we'd try our hand and enter a song for competition! We were delighted to come 3rd in one of the categories with our entry 'Spirit of Devon'. 

We always wanted to add a video to the music. The lyrics draw from lots of activities around the county from farmers in the field, to boats bobbing on the estuary tide. We hoped over the years to capture our own video of all the things mentioned in the lyrics but this proved to be a momentous task!

This all changed with the advent of AI; now we could augment our own pictures and videos with AI generated content. Also, while we were happy with the lyrics, the tune and our vocal rendering of it was not exactly perfect! We therefore turned to AI to see what it could come up with and we developed a new melody for the song.
